Room 2 !!!! ! !

 

Who we are

Hello i'm speaking on behalf of Room 2.We are a class in St.Colmcille's Senior school

 We are in 6th class and this is about us.

History

Junior infants


 We had play time and this little playhouse.We also had a sand pit and morlagh.
If it was our birthday we could choose whether we wanted to go to the front of the line and open the door or go to the back of the line and turn off the lights.
We also had a magic finger lock that we could not talk with on.We had our groups called after colours of the rainbow.We had a thing called news time on Monday where we said what we did for the weekend. At lunch time we had to stay in our places and it was not part of yard.We also had a sand pit.A person called Shane left that year.

Senior infants.

In senior infants we moved from the prefabs to the main building.We had letter land videos that we used to yell at saying "THERE'S NO FLICK AT THE END"and a video called pippin about a lady and a dog in a spoty blue airplane who used to go to factories to show us how different things were made.We had a thing where we had cards:  First we had a green card if we were good, we started with it every day. If we were bold we got a yellow card and if we were really bold  we got a red card.We also had special pink and blue pencils so we didn't need our own.Two guys called Jamie and Jonathan joined our class that year.We all had jobs that we had to do for the week.We also had Alive O videos and stars for being good.

1st Class

In first class we went swimming for the first time. We had a student teacher who would do up all the girsls hair.
During Halloween we had a spooky corner and we made a caldron.For P.E. we used to play with the parachute.
We had a world cup soccer tournement on sports day.When we got our reports
our teacher and our class walked to the shops to post them to our parents.We met a group of her ex students
and they minded us while she posted the letters and she then got us a lot of ice pops for us all.
We once went to the staff room to cook buns and once on pancake Tuesday to cook pancakes.

2nd Class

In second class we had a boy and a girl called Jimmy and Nataly join our class.
The mum of a pupil Robby Murphy came in to us and did a sea mural on a giant hardboard.
I think it is still in the junior school to this day.One day a dog came into the class so we all went into
another class and wathched a video.At Christmas we did a Chris Kindle where everyone was assigned a person and had to be nice to them.
That year we had our communion and we got loads of money.

3rd Class

In 3rd class we were at our first year in the senior school.We had a new principal called Mr.P. O Neill
who learned all the 3rd class names in under a week.We had a game called Multiple
King to help us learn our tables.Lauren and Robby nearly always won.
One day I think we had a strike and wouldn t work though we only did it at yard.
We also had a fashion show one day with our teacher on the yard.
At christmas we did a play with another class for our parents and the
3rd Class.

4th

In 4th we went to the coke factory to have a look at how coke is made
and to get free coke.I got about three cans.We went swimming every Tuesday
for a while then we played badmiton on tuesdays for a while.
We also sang at the coraile.

5th

 We were supposed to have another teacher for this year but
she had to become a special needs teacher because two left.
We had a green house where we grew plants.One day a whole load of acid and base
was brought in and we did a lot of testing for science.
We did two plays about two students stories,Tara Burke and Paric Rowan.
At the end of Parics we sang be happy.We also had a mini oscar on best actor.

Confirmation

So, we have had our Confirmation. We Were all confirmed on the 6th March in Knocklyon parish church. The bishop was Bishop Eamon Walsh and we all enjoyed the day. It came after weeks of preparation and the teachers screeching their heads off at us (not mentioning anyone in particular).
