Welcome to the St. Colmcille's SNS House Home pages.The school is divided up into six different houses, each of them named after a significant place in the life of St. Colmcille. Each house has a class from third, fourth, fifth and sixth and pupils remain in the same house for the four years that they are in the school. The houses are:

Iona

Moville

Kells

Gartan

Doire

Tír Chonaill

At the start of the year each house chooses two sixth class pupils, a boy and a girl to be their house captains for the year. Click on the logo's below to find out more about each house.

                                

        

              

 

GARTAN:    St. Colmcille’s Birthplace.

TÍR CHONAILL: The territory ruled over by St. Colmcille’s family.

MOVILLE:       A monastery where St. Colmcille studied.

DOIRE:        The first monastery founded by St. Colmcille.

KELLS:       St. Colmcille’s most famous Irish Monastery.

IONA :      St. Colmcille’s chief monastery.
